The Joys of Training

Tiqvah "TV" Vardi is the reigning Women's Welterweight champion of the world. Being eager to teach her craft to younger girls as well as being the general all around mensch that she is, she was eager to show her skills off to Joy, especially after learning Joy was a fellow Jew. 

TV was undeterred even after finding out Joy was quite the bratty fershtinkiner and tried her best to teach the younger girl some important tips on becoming a truly astounding boxer. Joy seemed far more interested in showing up TV than actually learning. Joy ignored TV's tutelage and dismissed her as a rather lucky champion, trying to say that even with the size difference, Joy could win a real match. TV was happy to give that kind of lesson. An actual match between them would definitely give TV the chance to pipe down the princess a bit while giving her a real lesson with real experience. 

In the end, TV learned a bit about Joy. The girl was a strong fighter. As stubborn in the ring as she was out of it. Maybe TV had babied her a bit dismissing Joy as a brat who had just "wanted the best trainer" and just wanted to buy her way to victory. TV was surprised as Joy held up pretty well through most of the match against the bigger, more experienced champ. Joy did make some mistakes, though, and TV hoped that the blonde learned from them. That was the goal, after all! TV decided, after the match, that no matter how much of a brat Joy could be, she would try and keep in touch and give her any advice she wanted. Maybe they could even have another match some time! Of course, that all depended on whether or not Joy could handle the unflappable  TV. She was pretty sure her carefree attitude was especially grating to Joy, but maybe Joy was just an angry girl? 

TV didn't really know and she didn't care. She had fun and would let Joy decide the rest! She would be back to her own training once she healed up from the fight!

A GREAT commission from the amazing I'm so glad I snuck in and grabbed a spot when it opened up. I have always loved his style and I love Joy the most out of his cast of characters. (I have a bit of a thing for brats!) So the idea was to put her with TV. They have clashing personalities but do have a common bond in their faith. The idea was always for TV to be training with Joy, helping her prepare to face down her rival in the ring, but I had wanted to have it more light hearted, with TV sort of showing off while making Joy mad with her easy nature. 

This turned out to be a much more serious slobberknocker of a pic than I had originally expected, but I love it! I really  like how fierce the two look! They really look like they are slugging it out! Joy's getting a little too aggressive and firing a shot at TV who is slipping past the punch, about to crash a fist right into the blonde beauty.

I like to think that TV came to respect Joy as a fighter, even if she thinks Joy's not a very nice person, while Joy learned why TV is the champ, even if she thinks TV isn't really taking Joy, the training or anything very seriously.  

Once again, I 'm absolutely in love with this piece. It blew my expectations away! And I'm totally willing to do a full story write up if there's interest. I don't know if I can nail Joy, but I'm certainly willing to try!
